Ballistic Uniforms & Apparel was launched in Cape Town in November 2009 by Stavro Michel and introduced a new competitor to the current suppliers of uniforms in the Western and Eastern Cape. Being centrally situated in Maitland Cape Town with highly competitive prices, quality garments , outstanding service , a wide product range and being fully stocked will enable customers quick and easy access for repeat orders. In May 2020 we are launching Ballistic Uniforms Personal Protection Equipment and Ballistic Uniforms Schoolwear

Overview

Ballistic Uniforms & Apparel’s focus is on service excellence and providing a quality garment to the industry. We are able to provide technical and design input enabling our clients to develop their branded uniforms effectively.
Stavro Michel , with 35 years of trading in the garment industry manufacturing and importing for the chain stores plus expertise in successfully supplying uniforms to the security industry will be an excellent and powerful competitor in the uniform business. Our garment suppliers are 98% locally based and the balance of the merchandise is imported where necessary in order to offer our customers excellent pricing on particular items. Ballistic Uniforms and Apparel has warehouse facilities in Cape Town & Gauteng in order to ensure easy access to our merchandise for national customers.

Product range

Ballistic Uniforms is able supply a vast product range on a daily basis to ensure that our customers are able to trade with a “one stop shop” experience. In most cases if a particular item or size is out of stock our suppliers are generally able to have goods supplied to our warehouse within 48 hours. We offer a 4 week lead time for specially ordered woven merchandise and 2 weeks on knitted items subject to fabric and yarn availability
The products vary from combat wear, work wear, overalls, padded jackets, windbreakers, rain wear, corporate wear, formal wear, shoes , safety boots, high visibility clothing, bullet proof wear , handcuffs, batons, stationery and general accessories .
We have an on – site embroiderer and had long term relationships with two embroiderers in Cape Town all of which are able to offer a quick turnaround service on embroideries
Badges and epaulettes are locally manufactured by a supplier who is a large contractor to the government departments and ensuring excellent quality. We were recently awarded via our Level 1 partners the contract to supply Bullet Proof Vests to the Western Cape Traffic Department over the next 3 years 

Ballistic Personal Protection Equipment

With the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic we immediately and with support of our old suppliers in Hong Kong & China launched our PPE product range for the medical , public and especially the security industry . Local manufacturing of Face Masks , Face Shields, Retail counter protection shields , Sanitizing solutions and Sanitizing walk through booths process has now begun

Ballistic Uniforms & Schoolwear 

Our schoolwear retail and wholesale division will be launched at the end on May 2020 in order to supply direct to the public and schools . All uniforms will be manufactured locally in order to grow the local clothing manufacturing industry
